Why give?
-
✽
Leaving an abusive relationship is just the first step—financial recovery can take years. Studies show that it takes a survivor an average of 5 to 7 years to fully regain financial independence after leaving their abuser. Many survivors face economic abuse, where their finances have been controlled, leaving them with poor credit, no savings, and employment gaps. Without ongoing support, survivors risk homelessness, job insecurity, or having to return to their abuser out of financial necessity.

Children of survivors are also deeply impacted. Without stable housing and financial security, children are at greater risk of entering the foster care system, further separating families and adding to their trauma. Your donations help keep families together, ensuring survivors can provide a safe, stable home for their children while working toward self-sufficiency.

Your generosity directly transforms lives. Every donation helps survivors move from surviving to thriving, ensuring they have the resources to heal, gain independence, and provide a better future for their children.

Mental Wellness & Emotional Healing
Leaving an abusive relationship is only the first step in a long journey of healing. Survivors often carry deep emotional wounds—anxiety, depression, PTSD, and low self-worth—that can last long after the abuse ends. Access to consistent mental health resources is vital for their recovery and overall well-being.
Your support helps provide:
Individual Therapy Sessions with licensed clinicians who specialize in trauma, grief, and domestic violence recovery.
Monthly Group Therapy for connection, community, and shared healing. Survivors no longer feel isolated and begin to rebuild their trust in others.
Faith-Based Counseling for those seeking spiritual restoration alongside emotional support.
Wellness Workshops that focus on emotional intelligence, stress management, healing through the arts, and building healthy coping strategies.
Self-Help Books and Journals to promote healing and reflection outside of therapy.
Education on Trauma and Mental Health to empower survivors with knowledge about how trauma affects the brain and body—and how healing is possible.
Mental Health Crisis Support for survivors facing severe emotional distress, including suicide prevention and emergency referrals.
